Role
Ready to take ownership of complex projects and shape their success? We’re hiring a Quantity Surveyor.
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage a number of works packages across various disciplines, from tender to final account stage.
These packages may include (but are not limited to):
- Logistics
- Firestopping
- Dry Lining
- Civils & Groundworks
- Architectural Metalwork
- Builders’ Works in Connection
- Traffic Management
The role will cover procurement, ITT analysis, contract drafting, contract administration, applications for payment, site record reviews, supplier audits, change management, and budget control.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and issue accurate, timely, and compliant notices and correspondence both upstream and downstream.
- Identify contractual and commercial risks and opportunities for the Contract Leader.
- Prepare and agree applications for payment, and assess/prepare payment certificates.
- Maintain registers of variations, delays, extensions of time, and claims.
- Ensure consistent implementation of company commercial policies and procedures.
- Assist with preparation of monthly progress valuations and claims.
- Liaise with customers’ commercial and project teams.
- Produce tender negotiation reports, monthly cost reports, forecasts, and support Contract Leader reports.
- Advise on value management and risk management.
- Prepare supply chain enquiries, negotiate, administer, and close out supply chain contracts.
- Plan and implement change management and cost control measures both up and downstream.
- Monitor and update supply chain procurement plans, including benchmarking.
- Work closely with site teams, supply chain partners, and customer representatives.
- Manage and administer subcontracts.
- Provide contractual advice to project/site teams when required.
- Maintain awareness of current construction contracts.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental risks are identified and reported.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary meetings.
- Strong financial and contractual knowledge.
- CEMAR user experience (preferred).
- Skilled in data analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting.
- Proven contract administration skills.
- Experience as a single point of contact for supplier performance.
Qualifications
- Degree level qualification
- Experience in construction and/or engineering.
- Chartered, or working towards a recognised professional chartership.
